I've probably always been involved in one creative venture or another. Having moved a lot with my family as a child, one of the 'up' parts of that was that I got a chance to see a lot of the United States in its splendor. Yosemite, Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, The Grand Canyon, my family really made the rounds, which is incredible considering that there were seven of us with a Rambler station wagon and a fold out trailer. My father was always carrying an 8mm movie camera to capture our vacations and I helped him edit and splice the film. It was around that time that I got the big picture (no pun intended) that capturing what I see and how I see it could preserve it for posterity and allow others to enjoy a place they hadn't been themselves, or seen it in the same way.
Since those early days, I have been a photographer for the entirety of my adult life, working with film, various formats and now digital. Please visit my website and drop me a line!
